USGI Alpha Extreme Cold Weather Shore Hood

Genuine U.S. Government Issue. This extreme cold weather hood features a synthetic fur trim, zipper and button front closure, and adjustable straps that secure under the shoulders for a snug, secure fit. Originally designed for use with the A-1 Parka, this hood is intended to be worn over the Cold Weather Cap or a similar head covering.

The shoulder skirt may be worn either underneath or over the jacket, depending on weather conditions. The hood is secured by adjusting the underarm straps to the desired fit, while a rear adjustment strap allows for individual size customization. The synthetic fur ruff provides added protection in extreme cold and high winds and can be shaped to accommodate changing conditions and visibility requirements. When not needed, the ruff can be folded back.
