HISTORY OF SCHRECK WHOLESALE

Since opening more than 70 years ago, Schreck Wholesale has been featured in national news segments, has outfitted military and law enforcement agencies, and has supplied wardrobes and props to scores of major Hollywood films.

Founders Sol and Pauline Schreck opened Schreck Wholesale in Chicago in 1946 after returning from duty in World War II. They quickly became the go-to suppliers in the Army-Navy surplus industry, forging relationships with government contractors and iconic brand-names like Ka-Bar and Cammenga. Our relationships and expertise have made us a trusted authority in military surplus. Our customers include surplus retailers and outdoor companies across the globe.

Schreck Wholesale specializes in genuine-issue American-made military surplus. Our stock includes apparel and equipment from all branches of the US Armed Forces, from the US Army, Navy, Marines, and US Air Force to special forces. Over time we’ve expanded our inventory to include backpacks, camping and hiking equipment, tactical gear, and military collectibles.

We’re proud of our 70-year history and our many notable accomplishments and clients. We’re still a family business with the same focus on quality genuine-issue military surplus, American heritage goods, outdoor supplies, and gear for all walks of life.
